Kristi Bracewell Photography provides a unique experience with the highest quality of pictures in all of Texas, and undoubtedly the most creative work of art seen. Her work ranges from weddings and events to family sessions to newborn photography, and more. She incorporates a variety of adorable animals in many shoots. But, behind the lens, you will find the artist with a free-range lifestyle. Kristi Bracewell is a Christian cowgirl, wife, mother of four, and photographer. Some days, she is editing in her office space that her husband of 13 years, Zach built for her. Other days, she is occupied feeding bottle calves, gathering chicken eggs, or herding the four kids so they can saddle horses and head to the arena for rodeo practice. Her country upbringing gives her an exclusive perspective for photography that goes beyond the norm. Her family focus allows a relaxed environment for all clients. Kristi’s photography is real. It’s honest. It’s individualized and captures raw emotions in the moment. With almost a decade of experience and whether she is shooting a lifestyle session or fashion and products, her images tell a story.

Kristi Bracewell grew up on a ranch in Donie, Texas and has a long line of cowboy ancestors. As a child, she rode horses and worked cattle with her dad nearly everyday. Long-sleeved pearl snaps and wrangler jeans with a hat that had lots of character was the normal work attire for this young girl. Her older brother’s broken-in boots finished the outfit perfectly. Later in life, Kristi went on to model for several western brands like Cowgirl Justice and Charlie 1 Horse before taking pictures of their fashion and products.

Sam Houston State University provided a great education and experience to Kristi, especially in the rodeo department. As an integral part of the rodeo team, Kristi was one of many SHSU team members that went to Nationals. Her humble personality would never warrant the “winning” discussion. Without seeing the College National Finals Breakaway Champion saddle or IFYR Shawnee Goat Tying Champion saddle sitting on the custom saddle rack displayed in her living room, you would not know the extent of her rodeo capabilities. She passes this same characteristic of humbleness on to her own children while they are in the rodeo pen.

Kristi maintains high standards for her business, including quality of images, delivery, and a great experience for anyone that interacts with her, her assistant, or her “team of animals”. But more than the standards that are exemplified in her photography business, her unwavering faith and family focus is at the forefront of every move she makes, every picture she takes, and every word she speaks.
